STATESVILLE, NC – As part of a national Farm Credit Farmers’ Market on July 26, 2017, Russell Hedrick from Conover, NC supplied corn meal, grits, and Seventeen Twelve Bourbon to the farmers’ market that was held in the Library of Congress in Washington, D.C.
He has been a Carolina Farm Credit customer for 6 years, and currently farms about 1000 acres in Catawba County. Russell produces several non-GMO crops, which Russell says give him the opportunity to participate in a premium market, this market has allowed Russell to expand to growing crops for Foothills Distillery, which produces the first legally distilled bourbon in the state of North Carolina since prohibition..
Russell’s products were featured alongside 70 other products from Farm Credit Customers across the United States.
