As I am finishing my 6th week at Carolina Farm Credit, I can say that I have had some great experiences so far.
During my time here, I have learned more about the loan process by shadowing the loan officers in the Graham Branch. I've spent time shadowing both Blair Robertson and Carey Owens to learn more about the differences between their different loan portfolios.
While shadowing them, I was able to do a farm inspection with Blair and a home inspection with Carey to learn more about the work flow of the loan processes. It was neat to see how these projects had developed and how they continue to progress.
I was also able to attend the Farmer Veteran Collision event at North Carolina A&T University. I attended the event with Blair Robertson. This event was intended to support veterans in the farming industry and aide them with the right resources to get started.
It's been a great 6 weeks so far and I can't wait to see what else the summer has in store for me and Farm Credit!
