Wishing Time Would Slow Down!

This summer internship has truly flown by and I have gained so many new experiences and I still have a little less than a month left! I have thoroughly enjoyed my time working in the Brown Summit branch, shadowing my mentors and others in the office, and working with the other interns on our summer project. I’m a little over a month into the internship now and I have already learned so much. This summer has been an awesome opportunity to meet new people, learn a lot of new things, and get to know more about Carolina Farm Credit as a company.

I have learned more about how the loan process works and seen loans go from start to finish. So far I have attended loan closings, went on site visits, and took a tour of the Metrolina Greenhouses with the other interns. The tour of Metrolina Greenhouses was an awesome experience getting to see how their operation works. My favorite part of the tour was getting to see the test area with all of the different kinds of plants.

It has been great getting to see the different areas of Carolina Farm Credit and going to different branch offices to complete our summer internship project. Everyone I have met has been passionate about their job and has helped teach me along the way. I am so thankful that I had the opportunity to intern with Carolina Farm Credit this summer to experience new things, meet new people, and see what kind of company Carolina Farm Credit is. I can honestly say I have had many great experiences, met some awesome people, and had a blast learning from some of the best this summer.

I would like to say a huge thank everyone that has helped me along the way especially Wanda, Addie, and the rest of the Brown Summit branch for letting me learn from you this summer. Also thank you to the interns (Jalen, Kayleigh, Will) and Colin for being such a great team to work with. I hope our project ideas will be useful for Carolina Farm Credit in the future!
