I am Amber Brown, a Loan officer intern for Carolina Farm Credit in the Brown Summit office.
Currently, I am pursuing a Masters degree in Agribusiness from North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University. I also received a Bachelors of Science Degree in Agricultural Economics from Fort Valley State University in May of 2017.
Growing up in the city, I wasn’t familiar with the world of agriculture until I went to school to pursue a degree in it. It took a leap of faith, but it is something I will never regret.
So far, interning with Carolina Farm Credit has been exciting to say the least. I have been training and learning about this great organization nonstop. I have been to a loan closing and am learning about all of the integral components it takes to get to that point. I love that the employees in this office are so helpful and easy to talk to, and they have made it a point to make it feel like a family.
Soon I will be traveling to Statesville to attend the CFC Core Academy training; and I am especially excited to be traveling to Columbia, South Carolina for another important training session. I am looking forward to the rest of my time here.
